At around 10:50 a.m. today (August 8), a passenger car driven by a woman in her 60s, identified as A, crashed into a guardrail on the shoulder of the road near the Seo-Anseong IC heading toward Pyeongtaek on the Pyeongtaek-Jecheon Expressway in Wongok-myeon, Anseong-si, Gyeonggi Province, resulting in a fire.

Driver A evacuated on her own after the accident, but sustained injuries to her chest and other areas and was transported to a hospital.

The fire was extinguished by firefighting authorities in about 30 minutes.
