Amid a continuous heat wave, a blackout occurred at an apartment complex in Suseong-gu, Daegu, at around 11:30 PM last night (August 7), causing inconvenience to 1,200 households for over five hours.

KEPCO stated that it finished repairing the external high-voltage distribution line at around 5:40 AM and resumed electricity supply to the apartment.

In Wonju, Gangwon Province, electricity was cut off to about 1,000 households in an apartment complex in Taejang-dong at around 8:00 PM. In Paldal-gu, Suwon, the power supply was cut off for about four hours to some 150 households due to a power overload starting at 5:30 PM, leading to consecutive blackouts in various parts of the country.
