Amid a continued heatwave, a power outage that occurred at an apartment complex consisting of about 1,200 households in Suseong-gu, Daegu, was restored after roughly six hours.

According to the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) and other sources today (August 8), a blackout occurred across the entire Hana Town apartment complex in Maeho-dong at around 11:35 PM yesterday, causing inconvenience to residents.

KEPCO, which received reports of the outage, carried out emergency restoration work at the apartment complex and stated that electricity supply was resumed at around 5:40 AM.

KEPCO explained that a malfunction occurred in the apartment's internal metering outift (MOF), which caused issues up to the high-voltage distribution line managed by KEPCO, leading to the power cutoff.
