The three major New York stock indices closed higher on the 7th (local time) as expectations for a U.S. interest rate hike receded following weak employment data.

On this day, the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished up 151.83 points (0.28%) at 54,036.93.

The S&P 500 index rose 47.68 points (0.62%) to close at 7,757.64, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite index gained 342.26 points (1.30%) to finish at 26,690.62.

In particular, the S&P 500 index broke its all-time closing high record once again with this rally.
