Amid armed conflict between the United States and Iran, the state-owned oil company of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced on the 7th local time that its vessels have been exposed to indiscriminate attacks.

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) stated in a statement that day that the indiscriminate attacks have inflicted severe blows on the company's operations.

The company explained that since the outbreak of the conflict, 15 of its vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz have been targeted by missile and drone attacks, with 3 vessels hit in particular this week alone, resulting in 1 crew member dead and 20 injured.

It emphasized, "Freedom of navigation in international waterways and the safe and uninterrupted passage of commercial vessels must be respected and protected."

It also added that it is taking measures to protect its personnel, assets, and operational facilities while fulfilling customer demands to the maximum extent possible.
