A case has occurred in Incheon where a teenage son murdered his mother during an argument.

According to the Incheon Samsan Police Station, an 18-year-old male surnamed A is accused of stabbing and killing his 40s mother, surnamed B, with a weapon from inside their apartment in Samsan-dong, Bupyeong-gu, around 8:30 p.m. yesterday (August 7).

Teen A reported the crime himself after committing it, and although mother B was transported to a hospital, she passed away.

Teen A had dropped out of high school and was unemployed, and it was reported that his father and younger sibling, who live with him, were not at home at the time.

Police have arrested teen A on charges of patricide/matricide and are investigating the exact motive for the crime.
