Jobs in the United States unexpectedly decreased in July.

On the 7th local time, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that nonfarm payrolls fell by 23,000 from the previous month.

Previously, experts surveyed by Dow Jones had projected an increase of 83,000 jobs for July, making this an unexpected outcome.

Meanwhile, the unemployment rate declined to 4.1%, down from 4.2% a month earlier, and came in below the experts' forecast of 4.2%.
