Twin sisters Lee Jae-young and Lee Da-young, who previously served as key starting attackers and setters for the South Korean women's national volleyball team, will continue their careers with Turan VC in the Azerbaijan Super League.

Following its announcement on the 4th regarding the signing of Lee Jae-young, Turan VC announced on the 7th that it had also signed Lee Da-young.

The club stated, "Lee Da-young, who represents South Korean volleyball, is set to play as a member of the Turan team in the 2026-2027 Azerbaijan women's volleyball league."

The two players left the South Korean volleyball scene in 2021 while playing for Heungkuk Life Insurance in the domestic professional V-League, following revelations that they had committed school violence during their middle school years.

Lee Jae-young joined the Greek women's professional volleyball club PAOK Thessaloniki in late 2021, but left the league after playing only a few matches due to the aftermath of a knee injury. Following a long hiatus, she joined the Japanese women's volleyball SV League club Himeji Victoria in July of last year.

After leaving Himeji in May, Lee Jae-young will now continue her playing career in Azerbaijan.

Lee Da-young has moved her main stage to the Azerbaijan league after passing through numerous clubs, including PAOK Thessaloniki, CS Rapid București in the Romanian league, Volero Le Cannet in the French league, Panionios GSS in the Greek league, and San Diego Mojo in the United States.
