Police are investigating a report that a man entered the women's changing room at the Caribbean Bay water park before fleeing.

Concerns over illegal filming have been raised among visitors, as the facility previously experienced an incident in 2015 where illicit footage filmed inside the women's shower and changing rooms was leaked.

According to the Yongin Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province on August 7, a report was received at 4:40 p.m. on July 30 stating that a suspicious man wearing sunglasses was inside the women's changing room at Caribbean Bay.

The reporter stated that the individual fled outside when asked to show identification.

By the time police arrived, the suspect had already left the scene and the situation had ended.

Whether the suspect was actually male, the circumstances of entering the women's changing room, and actions taken inside are expected to be revealed through an investigation after securing the suspect's identity.

According to witnesses and others, the suspect was wandering around the women's changing room, was stopped by a Caribbean Bay employee, and suddenly fled while talking to them.

One witness stated, "The individual's face was covered with a black hat, a mask, and sunglasses, and they appeared to be wearing something like a wig on their head. They looked suspicious, wearing a gray short-sleeved t-shirt, black shorts, sneakers, and carrying a backpack on the front."

In a phone call, the witness said, "When told to take off the sunglasses, the individual briefly pushed them up, and people who saw this shouted, 'It's a man!' Not only is it terrifying that a man entered the women's changing room, but I'm worried if there was any illegal filming."

At the time, a visitor posted a message on the Caribbean Bay website implying that the facility's response was inadequate.

The visitor claimed, "Even though an employee had detained the individual once, they let them go, and afterwards, the staff failed to properly share the situation or guide the visitors. It took some time to get out of the exit because there were many visitors at the time, but if the situation had been shared immediately, the suspect could have been caught."

In response, a Caribbean Bay official stated, "We are faithfully cooperating with the police investigation, and we will strengthen safety management so that customers can enjoy themselves more comfortably."

Police have been tracking the individual's whereabouts for a week using nearby CCTV cameras.

A police official said, "Because there was a huge crowd inside Caribbean Bay at the time of the incident, we are facing difficulties in identifying the suspect," adding, "We will also utilize external CCTV cameras for the investigation."

Meanwhile, Caribbean Bay was embroiled in controversy in August 2015 when illegally filmed footage from inside the women's shower and changing rooms was distributed on adult websites.
