Shin Da-in, Park Ye-ji, and Seo Eo-jin have tied for the lead on the first day of the Korea Women's Professional Golf (KLPGA) Tour Jeju Samdasoo Masters.

Playing in the opening round of the tournament held at Teddy Valley Golf and Resort in Seogwipo, Jeju, Shin Da-in shot 6-under-par with eight birdies and two bogeys, joining Park Ye-ji and Seo Eo-jin in a tie for the top spot by a one-stroke margin.

Shin Da-in, who captured her maiden tour victory at the KG Ladies Open in August of last year, is aiming for her second career title.

Park Ye-ji carded six birdies without a single bogey, while Seo Eo-jin posted 6-under-par with one eagle, five birdies, and one bogey to share the lead alongside Shin.

Park Ye-ji and Seo Eo-jin, who have yet to secure a regular tour victory, are both seeking their first-ever tour wins.

Seo Gyo-rim, who has claimed two wins this season and sits second behind Kim Min-sol (three wins) in multiple wins, prize money, and Player of the Year points, made a strong start, shooting 5-under-par to tie for fourth place, one stroke behind the leaders.

Kim Min-sol, who returned after competing in the AIG Women's Open, an LPGA Tour major tournament, last week, struggled to a 2-over-par on the first day.

Defending champion Ko Ji-won, who claimed her first career victory at this tournament last year, also had a rough start at 3-over-par.

The tournament, offering a total purse of 1 billion won and a winner's prize of 180 million won, will run for four rounds through Sunday, the 9th.
