Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants extended his hitting streak to five games, maintaining a batting average in the .300 range.

Playing as the starting number two batter and right fielder in an away game against the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB) held today (the 6th, Korean time) at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, Lee recorded one hit in five at-bats.

With this, Lee extended his hitting streak to five games, dating back to the game against the San Diego Padres on the 2nd.

His season batting average dipped slightly from 0.305 to 0.303 (121 hits in 399 at-bats).

In his first plate appearance in the top of the first inning, Lee grounded out to shortstop. With one out in the top of the third, he squared up a 142.2 km/h four-seam fastball from opposing starter Cody Bradford, but his drive was snared by center fielder Evan Carter's sliding catch.

Trailing 0-4 with one out and a runner on first in the top of the fifth, Lee faced Bradford again and lashed a 129.7 km/h inside changeup for a single to right field.

However, he could not come around to score as subsequent hitters failed to drive him in.

After flying out to the third baseman in foul territory in the top of the seventh, Lee wrapped up his outing by grounding out to the pitcher in the top of the ninth.

Despite collecting eight hits as a team, San Francisco was shut out 0-6.

With a record of 48 wins and 67 losses and a winning percentage of 0.417, they remained in fourth place in the National League (NL) West.

Song Sung-moon of the San Diego Padres entered the game as a defensive replacement in the bottom of the seventh during an away game against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, recording one walk and one run scored.

He maintained his season batting average at 0.208 (22 hits in 106 at-bats).

With one out in the top of the ninth and his team trailing heavily at 1-10, he drew a walk and later crossed home plate on Gage Workman's bases-clearing, three-run double.

San Diego scored four runs in the top of the ninth but ultimately lost 4-10.

They held onto third place in the NL West with 59 wins and 56 losses and a winning percentage of 0.513.

Kim Ha-seong of the Atlanta Braves, who recently returned to the big leagues, did not play in the home game against the Miami Marlins at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, sitting out for the second consecutive game.

Atlanta defeated Miami 4-1 to extend its winning streak to seven games.

They top the NL East with 69 wins and 45 losses and a winning percentage of 0.605.
