People Power Party Leader Jang Dong-hyeok strongly criticized President Lee Jae-myung's remark that he had not read the amended Criminal Procedure Act, stating, "The President is pouring out such unprecedented absurdities that the public can hardly even realize that they are absurdities."

During the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 6th, Leader Jang blasted President Lee, saying, "After amending the Criminal Procedure Act and completely destroying South Korea's judicial system, he proudly says, 'I didn't even look at the legal provisions.' Where else could we go and have the nerve to call someone like this the President of South Korea without feeling ashamed?"

Leader Jang continued, "After passing the bill to abolish supplementary investigation powers at a Cabinet meeting, the President said the next day, 'Does it say prosecutors should not investigate? If it hasn't prohibited investigation, shouldn't they just investigate?' Isn't this the exact same as asking if the current President of South Korea is President Syngman Rhee?" He added, "I am curious about President Lee's state of mind."

He pointed out, "He criticized the Jang Yoon-ki case so much, raising issues that cases could be fabricated and buried, and now he even asks if there are countermeasures against the burying of cases. Is he really a president? Should we even recognize him as president? It is devastating."

Leader Jang emphasized, "Justice Minister Jeong Seong-ho said the amendment to the Criminal Procedure Act was 'revised at the speed of light,' but if the President hasn't even read the legal provisions of that Criminal Procedure Act, the administration will eventually collapse at the speed of light."
