Actor Yoo Yeon-seok, who paid 3 billion won in additional taxes last year, has had his tax appeal challenging the National Tax Service's tax assessment rejected.

Last year, Yoo was notified of a tax assessment amounting to approximately 7 billion won in the process of operating his one-person agency.

At the time, with double taxation recognized, the final tax amount was reduced to 3 billion won, and Yoo paid the full amount in April of last year. Afterward, he filed a tax appeal with the Tax Tribunal to contest the National Tax Service's taxation, but a rejection decision was handed down last month.

In response, Yoo's agency stated that the issue stems from a difference in the interpretation of tax laws.

They explained that the related procedures are not entirely finalized, and they are closely reviewing the facts and legal issues.
