It is a precarious situation where they could easily be swept away by the current.

They went ahead with taking photos even while water was being discharged with the floodgate open at a reservoir in Hong Kong.

They completely ignored repeated warnings shouted by people nearby telling them it was dangerous, and as the footage spread on social media, criticism poured in over their insensitivity to safety.

Local authorities have eventually launched an investigation, planning to install additional surveillance cameras and warning signs around the reservoir, and considering legal action if unauthorized trespassing is confirmed.
