Former professional baseball player and SBS baseball commentator Lee Dae-ho, who played in the Major Leagues during his active career, has taken the mound as a ceremonial pitch guest for the Seattle Mariners, his former team.

Lee took the mound to throw the first pitch ahead of the game between the Seattle Mariners and the Detroit Tigers at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on August 5.

The Seattle franchise invited Lee, who has been beloved by fans, and he threw the ball accurately into the mitt of his son, Lee Ye-seung.

Ye-seung wore a jersey bearing the name of Seattle franchise star Ken Griffey Jr.

Having played in the South Korean and Japanese professional leagues, Lee made his big league debut in 2016 as a member of the Mariners.

During his one-year stint, he recorded a batting average of .253 with 14 home runs and 49 RBIs. He returned to the KBO League with the Lotte Giants in 2017, played through 2022, and subsequently retired.
