Ukrainian authorities have announced that a North Korean missile unit has been deployed to the western region of Russia near the border.

Reuters reported, citing Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence, that "a North Korean missile unit has begun deploying to western Russia" and that the unit is "equipped with 120 ballistic missiles and 6 launchers for attacking Ukraine."

Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence added that "a North Korean missile unit consisting of about 90 personnel will be deployed within the 112th Missile Brigade in Russia's western Voronezh region."

This statement from the Ukrainian side follows Russia's launch of two North Korean-made missiles toward Ukraine last week.

In a statement on July 30, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated, "It appears that Russia has used North Korean missiles for the first time in a long time," claiming that Russia fired North Korean missiles for the first time in about a year since August of last year.
