Summer festivals are simply incomplete without fireworks.

However, a festival site that should have been filled with brilliant fireworks instantly transformed into a scene reminiscent of a war zone.

During the closing ceremony of a traditional festival in Veracruz, Mexico, an accident occurred when a structure loaded with fireworks collapsed.

Sparks flying in all directions immediately turned the venue into chaos.

Twenty-one people, including spectators, sustained burns while trying to escape the cascading fireworks.

Fortunately, it was reported that there were no severe injuries requiring hospitalization.
