Lee Kang-in (25) has announced his upcoming debut match in Seoul, alongside the official announcement of his signing with Spanish professional football club Atletico Madrid.
Atletico Madrid released a video today (August 4) via social media showing Lee training in the club's training kit at the GS Champions Park in Guri, Gyeonggi Province.
The video captures Lee sweating it out with a trainer under the blazing sun.
Seeming to feel the intense heat, Lee rolled up his shorts, baring his tanned thighs as he ran across the pitch.
The previous day, official photos of Lee wearing Atletico Madrid's red-and-white striped uniform were posted on the club's social media for the first time.
In an accompanying video, Lee greeted fans, saying, "Hello South Korean football fans, I am Lee Kang-in," and added, "See you at the stadium on August 9 for my debut match with Atletico Madrid!"
Atletico Madrid is set to play a domestic friendly against Manchester City (England) on August 9 as part of the Coupang Play Series.
This match will mark Lee's debut for Atletico Madrid.
Lee's transfer to Atletico Madrid was already announced last month on June 25.
However, photos of him in his new uniform could not be released for a while.
This delay occurred because his team joining was postponed due to administrative procedures related to the military service exemption he received during the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.
Having continued his preparations for the new season through individual training at GS Champions Park, Lee is set to play alongside his new teammates for the first time against Manchester City.
