Professional football club K League 2 Seongnam FC is parting ways with Manager Jeon Kyung-jun, 52, concluding their nearly two-year journey together.

Seongnam announced today (Aug. 4) that, "After careful consideration to reorganize the team atmosphere and establish a sustainable direction and clear vision as a citizen-owned club, we have decided to terminate the contract with Manager Jeon Kyung-jun."

The club added, "To minimize unrest within the squad and quickly reorganize the team, we will transition to an interim manager system to handle upcoming schedules," and stated, "We plan to promptly initiate the process of appointing a successor."

Manager Jeon, who has previously served as a coach for youth national teams and the senior national team, manager of K League club Jeonnam Dragons, and technical committee chairman of the Korea Professional Football League, has led Seongnam since September 2024.

After finishing the season at the bottom of the 13 K League 2 teams that year, Seongnam finished 5th out of 14 teams last year and even advanced to the playoffs.

However, in the current season, they are struggling in 12th place among 17 teams with 20 points (4 wins, 8 draws, 6 losses).
