On the morning of the 4th, a production presentation for the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama "Flex X Cop 2" (written by Kim Ba-da, directed by Kim Jae-hong) was held at the SBS building in Mok-dong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. Actors Ahn Bohyun, Jung Eun-chae, Kang Sang Jun, and Kim Sinbi, along with director Kim Jae-hong, attended the event to share their honest thoughts and extraordinary confidence about taking on Season 2.

"Flex X Cop 2" is a delightful, refreshing, and thrilling high-end cooperative investigative drama featuring Jin Yi-soo (Ahn Bohyun), a chaebol detective who overturns cases with his wealth when investigations stall, and the new team leader, Joo Hye-ra (Jung Eun-chae).

Jung Eun-chae, who is joining Season 2 as a new member, shared the reason for her appearance, saying, "As a fan, I was so curious about how the upbeat rhythm of Season 1 would expand. I had repeatedly heard that the chemistry among all the team members was great, so I chose it because I definitely wanted to experience it firsthand."

Joo Hye-ra, the character played by Jung Eun-chae, is the new team leader of the Violent Crime Investigation Team 1 at Gangha Police Station. She has a history with Jin Yi-soo from their police academy days, where she was his harsh "devil instructor" who put him through rigorous training. Jung Eun-chae introduced her character by saying, "Although they start with a hate-hate relationship, she is a character who gradually grows into a wonderful cooperative partner as they solve cases."

The process of adapting to Violent Crime Investigation Team 1, which already boasted tight teamwork, was pure warmth. Jung Eun-chae expressed her gratitude, saying, "As someone newly joining, I had concerns about adapting, but they welcomed me with open arms much more warmly than I had expected. The director, actors, and staff created an environment where I could act to my heart's content, so I filmed really happily."

The reactions of fellow actors welcoming the new team leader were equally enthusiastic. Ahn Bohyun shared, "After seeing her in her previous work "ANNA," I thought she might have an aura but a frail personality. However, her physique, height, and tone of voice tailored for a detective role were so perfect that I was very grateful. In episodes 1 and 2, there are scenes where Yi-soo gets pushed around by Team Leader Joo Hye-ra, which will deliver a 'dopamine' rush to viewers."

Kang Sang Jun, who plays Park Jun-young, a steadfast detective in Violent Crime Investigation Team 1, also expressed admiration, saying, "After seeing her in her previous work "Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born," I thought she would be a perfect fit for Joo Hye-ra, and seeing her in person, she really had a cool and righteous aura. It felt as if the character Joo Hye-ra was walking right in."

Kim Sinbi, who plays "Jin Yi-soo follower" young detective Choi Kyeong-jin, also joked, "Seeing Team Leader Joo Hye-ra's gaze even made my heart, which only looks toward Yi-soo hyung, waver," turning the venue into a sea of laughter.

As it is a detective role, challenges in action acting also followed. Jung Eun-chae stated, "Although I practiced choreography at the action school, there was a lot I learned by bumping into things directly on set. Seeing other actors with Season 1 experience perform most of the high-difficulty action scenes without stunt doubles made me snap to attention. I learned a lot and listened closely so that we could match our choreography with high quality without anyone getting hurt."

Finally, Jung Eun-chae highlighted key points to watch, saying, "Season 2 features amazing special appearance actors in every single episode. While acting together, I even thought, 'These people are the true protagonists of this episode.' It is a drama with thrilling and exciting charms, just like riding a roller coaster on an amusement park ride, so I hope you will immerse yourselves fully and binge-watch it from the very first broadcast to the end."

Meanwhile, Season 1 of "Flex X Cop," which aired in 2024, recorded a peak viewership rating of 11% and confirmed the production of Season 2 during its run, establishing itself as a representative seasonal cider content piece for SBS. Its differentiating worldview—where an immature third-generation chaebol turned detective mobilizes massive financial resources to use private helicopters, supercars, and cutting-edge equipment as investigative "cheat keys"—alongside Ahn Bohyun's unrivaled character charm, were cited as the driving forces behind its box-office success.

"Flex X Cop 2," completed with new member Jung Eun-chae joining Season 1 members Ahn Bohyun, Kang Sang Jun, and Kim Sinbi, will premiere on Friday, the 7th, at 9:50 PM as the follow-up to "Agent Kim Reactivated."
