According to the Korea Exchange, program buy orders were suspended for 5 minutes starting around 10:47 AM today due to fluctuations in KOSDAQ 150 futures and the KOSDAQ 150 index.
At the time of the trigger, KOSDAQ 150 futures had risen by 76.90 points (6.09%) from the previous closing price, while the KOSDAQ 150 index gained 81.33 points (6.50%).
Following the KOSDAQ buy sidecars triggered on the 31st of last month and yesterday, this marks the third straight trading day of activation.
Currently, the KOSDAQ index is trading at 777.29, up 5.42%.
A KOSDAQ sidecar is triggered when the KOSDAQ 150 futures price rises by 6% or more and the KOSDAQ 150 index rises by 3% or more compared to their final figures from the previous trading day, with both conditions lasting for 1 minute simultaneously.
