The proactive efforts of Busan police in helping a Bangladeshi journalist recover a lost wallet during a visit to the city have been highlighted by local media.

According to the Metropolitan Prevention Patrol Unit of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency on August 4, a foreign national from Bangladesh visited the police post at Seomyeon Station on the Busan Metro on July 31 to report a lost wallet containing identification, South Korean currency, and important documents.

The visitor had spent the previous day searching for the lost item independently before turning to the police for assistance.

Rather than simply guiding the individual through standard lost-and-found procedures, the police carefully detailed the person's travel route and the exact time the wallet was last seen.

Fortunately, the wallet was located at the Busan Transportation Corporation's Lost and Found Center.

Accompanied by the police, the visitor arrived at the center, recovered the wallet, and safely returned home via Gimhae International Airport.

It was later revealed that the individual is a reporter for the Bangladeshi media outlet Akash TV.

After returning home, the reporter published an article through the media outlet and its official social media channels titled "Exemplary Citizen Service by the South Korean Police."

In the article, the journalist expressed gratitude, stating, "The South Korean police made a sincere effort to find my lost wallet. Their kindness, sense of responsibility, and genuine dedication to citizens deeply moved me."
