Actor Kyung Soo-jin is taking on her very first theatrical stage challenge through director Jang Jin's signature comedy play "The Secret of Flowers".

The play "The Secret of Flowers" (written and directed by Jang Jin) is set in Villaferrosa, a small rural village in northwestern Italy. It depicts the absurd commotion of four housewives who must disguise themselves as their husbands for a day, taking the place of their spouses who mysteriously disappeared in an accident overnight just ahead of an insurance claim review. In particular, this new season is drawing heated attention from the theater world by introducing a groundbreaking gender-free casting concept that breaks down gender boundaries within the play.

Kyung Soo-jin has been cast in the role of Monica. Monica is a romanticist who once dreamed of becoming an actor, as well as a charming character who is honest in front of love. She plans to portray the character with her unique delicate expressive power and fresh charm, radiating a new presence on stage.

Ahead of her first stage appearance, Kyung Soo-jin shared her aspirations, saying, "I have always had a longing for the theater stage, where you interact with the audience in real time. I am very excited and nervous to take my first step with Monica, a charming character in a work by Director Jang Jin, whom I have always respected. I want to learn a lot and grow by being alongside the wonderful production team and senior actors, showing a further developed side of myself as an actor."

"The Secret of Flowers" will be performed from September 12 to November 29 at the Bugs Hall of the Link Art Center in Seoul, and first-round ticket sales will open at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 7.
