At around 9:00 p.m. yesterday (August 3), an 11-ton cargo truck crashed into a utility pole in Singok-dong, Uijeongbu-si, Gyeonggi Province.

No one was injured in the accident, but streetlights and traffic lights went out, and power was cut off at 12 nearby shops.

Police are investigating the exact cause of the accident based on the driver's statement that "the brakes appear to have failed."
