At around 4:00 PM today (August 3), a motorcycle and a taxi collided at Yeongcheon Intersection in Dongtan-gu, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, resulting in a fire and leaving one person dead.

The accident occurred when the motorcycle, traveling straight through the intersection, collided with the taxi, which was making a left turn.

A fire subsequently broke out on the motorcycle, and dispatched firefighters extinguished the blaze.

The accident left the motorcycle rider, a man in his 30s, dead, while the 70s taxi driver and two passengers sustained minor injuries.

Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
