Professional baseball team Lotte Giants removed left-handed starting pitcher Kim Jin-wook from the first-team roster today (August 3).

The Lotte club announced that while Kim received a medical opinion showing no abnormalities in his hamstring muscles in both legs, he was deregistered from the roster for a period of rest. They added that Kim plans to continue traveling with the first-team squad.

Kim, who made his professional debut in 2021, has pitched 109.1 innings this season, the most in his career.

Meanwhile, the Samsung Lions dropped catcher Kang Min-ho and outfielder Kim Heon-gon from their roster, while the LG Twins removed pitcher Kim Yun-sik and catcher Kim Min-su, respectively.
