The film "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is enjoying an explosive box office run, drawing over 2.25 million moviegoers in its opening weekend.

According to the Korean Film Council's integrated ticket computer network on the 3rd, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" claimed the number one spot at the weekend box office by attracting 2,252,939 viewers nationwide from July 31 to August 2. Its cumulative audience count stands at 3,384,156.

With this, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" has become the film released this year to attract more than 2 million viewers over a 3-day weekend. Its box office pace is faster than "The King and the Man," which ranks second on the all-time box office list. "The King and the Man" drew 1,750,960 viewers in its opening weekend.

Having set the record for the highest opening score among films released in 2026 by gathering 680,000 viewers on its premiere day, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is continuing its explosive box office streak by setting records in its opening weekend performance as well. With the release of "Odyssey" scheduled for this week, it is expected to surpass 4 million and break through the 5 million viewer mark if it maintains its current pace.

"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is an action blockbuster depicting the story of Peter Parker, who has been forgotten by everyone following the events of "Spider-Man: No Way Home," as he confronts a mysterious enemy who remembers his identity and deals with a new threat. It stars Tom Holland and Zendaya.
