Singer and actor Cha Eun-woo has reportedly filed a petition with the Tax Tribunal, arguing that a tax assessment against him was unfair after paying 13 billion won in additional taxes.

Cha's side stated that they requested a tax tribunal review to seek a legal judgment, adding that it is difficult to disclose specific details as the procedure is currently ongoing.

Suspicion of tax evasion arose regarding Cha in January when it became known that he had been notified by the National Tax Service of a tax assessment in the tens of billions of won.
