Yes, a woman in her 40s, surnamed A, was brought to trial for taking a baby crow home after finding it in a park in Uijeongbu in June of last year.

A stated, "On my way down from hiking, I felt bad for it and took it home, and after caring for it for about a week, I released it back where I found it."

Later, a complaint regarding A raising a crow was filed through the e-People portal, leading to an investigation and eventually a trial.

While crows are not an endangered species, they are designated as wildlife under the Wildlife Protection Act, which prohibits capturing or raising them without a permit.

Taking into consideration that A was a first-time offender and acted without knowing the relevant laws, the court suspended a fine of 700,000 won.
