A body was found floating in the Dongjin River in Goesan-eup, Goesan-gun, North Chungcheong Province, yesterday morning (August 2) at 10:12 AM by a passing driver who immediately reported it.

Police are currently taking fingerprints from the body of the woman, estimated to be in her 60s to 70s, to confirm her exact identity.

No signs of foul play have been found so far.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding her death, keeping in mind that the area is frequently visited for gathering freshwater snails.
