A fire broke out at a building in Sillim-dong, Seoul, on a holiday afternoon, prompting more than 100 people to evacuate.

The fire occurred at a commercial building located in Sillim-dong, Gwanak-gu, Seoul, at around 3:20 PM today (August 2).

Fire authorities mobilized about 110 personnel and some 40 pieces of equipment, extinguishing the blaze in about 40 minutes after receiving the report.

There were no injuries reported, but an estimated 130 people evacuated in panic.

Fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire by questioning witnesses and others.
