A man in his 60s was rescued in a state of cardiac arrest while scuba diving off the coast of Seogwipo, Jeju.

At around 9:20 a.m. today, a report was received that a man in his 60s, identified as A, had fallen into the water while scuba diving in the sea near Seopseom Island in Bomok-dong, Seogwipo-si, Jeju.

Mr. A was rescued by dispatched firefighters and transferred to a hospital in a state of cardiac arrest.

The Coast Guard and fire authorities are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident, questioning witnesses and others.
