A woman in her 50s hiking in Bonghwa, North Gyeongsang Province, was rescued in a state of cardiac arrest and transferred to a hospital.
At around 8:00 AM today (August 2), a report was received that a woman in her 50s, identified as A, had collapsed while hiking on Mount Cheongnyang in Myeongho-myeon, Bonghwa-gun, North Gyeongsang Province.
Fire authorities deployed a helicopter to rescue A, who was in cardiac arrest, and transported her to a nearby hospital while administering emergency first aid.
The Bonghwa-gun area, which is under a heatwave warning, recorded peak temperatures exceeding 32°C (90°F) during the morning hours.
However, a fire official stated, "It has been confirmed not to be a heat-related illness."
