A young girl has died after falling into a water play facility at a resort.

At around 5:15 p.m. yesterday (July 31), a report was received that a 4-year-old girl had fallen into a water play facility at a resort in Hongcheon County, Gangwon Province, and was not breathing.

Fire authorities transported the girl, who was in cardiac arrest, to a nearby hospital, but she died while receiving treatment.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
