Professional baseball team Doosan Bears secured a victory in their Jamsil rivalry match against the LG Twins, propelled by the long-awaited multi-home run performance of "perennial prospect" Kim Dae-han.

Doosan claimed a 4-2 win against LG in their regular-season home game of the 2026 Shinhan SOL KBO League held at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul.

With this victory, Doosan snapped a three-game losing streak against LG and extended their winning streak to two games.

The star of the day was Kim Dae-han, who joined Doosan as a first-round draft pick in 2019.

Hailed during his days at Whimoon High School as having "unprecedented" talent, Kim had consistently received opportunities but struggled to make a significant impact in the first team.

Starting as the eighth-batter right fielder, he launched a tying solo home run off Song Seung-ki with two outs in the bottom of the second inning—trailing 0-1—to hit his first home run of the year.

Doosan pulled ahead 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth on Park Jun-soon's 15th home run of the season, a two-run shot. LG closed the gap with a run in the top of the sixth, making it a tight one-run game.

It was another long ball from Kim that widened the gap once more.

Leading off the bottom of the seventh, Kim pulled a high pitch from Lee Woo-chan, sending the ball soaring to the upper left-field stands of Jamsil Stadium.

Starting pitcher Jack Loge delivered a strong performance, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out eight over six innings. Doosan then secured the win as Kim Jung-woo, Kim Taek-yeon, and Lee Young-ha each pitched a scoreless inning from the seventh through the ninth.
