Wang Seo-yun (Seoul Physical Education Middle School), a promising sprinter who has been breaking Korean records in various middle school track events day after day, has rewritten the Korean middle school record for the 400m relay.

On the first day of the 47th National City and Province-competing Track and Field Championships, organized by the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and held at Jeju Stadium in Jeju, Wang won the girls' middle school 400m relay alongside Sung Chae-eun, Kwon Je-hee, and Choi Tae-yeon, clocking a division record of 46.91 seconds.

They broke the previous girls' middle school Korean record of 47.20 seconds that they had set at the National Youth Sports Festival in May.

Wang also won the girls' middle school 100m final held on the same day with a meet record of 11.89 seconds.

This fell just short of the division Korean record of 11.81 seconds that she had set on the 17th of this month.

She stated, "It is a bit disappointing that I could have broken the Korean record once again," adding, "I will prepare hard in the future and continue to break records."

Jung Do-young, Lee Jun-hee, Park Hyun-bin, and Oh Yoon-woo won the boys' elementary school 400m relay with a division record of 46.86 seconds.
