It has been confirmed that an additional weapon believed to have been used in the crime was found at the scene where Jeong Jae-hwan, the suspect in the "naked murder" case who has been indicted and detained, committed the crime, in addition to the two weapons previously known.

According to prosecutors and other sources, Jeong was investigated to have used a total of three weapons on the day of the incident.

The additionally identified weapon is a knife with a total length of about 26 cm, which was found stained with blood near the head of the living room floor where the victim had collapsed. Prosecutors secured it as physical evidence, recognizing it as proof of the crime.

The details of how the crime unfolded have also become clearer.

According to the investigation, Jeong was assaulting another friend who was present at the scene when he became enraged at the victim, who tried to intervene, and swung a weapon.

Prosecutors stated they confirmed that Jeong indiscriminately attacked the victim who tried to stop him, and brutally continued to swing the weapon even after the victim had already lost the ability to resist.

The victim was stabbed some 30 to 40 times in the neck, shoulders, back, and abdomen, and the direct cause of death was determined to be excessive bleeding due to multiple injuries.

It was also found that immediately after the crime, Jeong used his smartphone to take a photo of the pool of blood pooled on the floor.

Prosecutors indicted and detained Jeong yesterday (July 30) on charges of murder and assault.

Jeong is accused of stabbing the victim dozens of times to death while drinking together on the 4th, and assaulting another friend who was at the scene, inflicting injuries.
