The lineup for the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival, opening this coming September, has become more spectacular than ever. The fact that director Hang-jun, who has served as the festival's executive committee chairperson since last year, joined the ranks of directors with films drawing 10 million moviegoers played a major role.

Marking its 22nd edition, the Jecheon International Music & Film Festival.
First, a large number of master figures from the domestic film industry will attend the opening ceremony this year.
With Director Hang-jun, who entered the 10 million viewer club with the film The King's Warden, serving as the executive committee chairperson for the entire festival, directors such as Bong Joon-ho and Park Chan-wook will be in attendance at the opening ceremony.
[Hang-jun / Executive Committee Chairperson, Jecheon International Music & Film Festival : The only person who can bring Park Chan-wook and Bong Joon-ho together in one place is me.]
Prominent figures can also be encountered in programs held across the city during the festival period.
The Talk to You program, where participants can enjoy films and music together and share conversations, begins anew this year. Figures from various fields, including Director Bong Joon-ho, journalist Sohn Suk-hee, singer Kim Yoon-ah, and actor Jeon Mi-do, will share reviews with citizens.
Another goal of this year's festival is to go beyond simply being a film festival and provide an opportunity for Chungbuk and Jecheon to grow into cities of film.
While a record-breaking number of over 2,000 films were submitted to this year's festival, 180 carefully selected films will be screened.
Another point of differentiation from previous festivals is that it has moved beyond the framework of music films to include a greater variety of genres that can secure broad appeal, such as action and horror.
In this year's festival as well, priority ticket reservations for performance programs like One Summer Night sold out in just 10 minutes, showing high levels of response.
[Lee Sang-cheon / Mayor of Jecheon : It seems we won't be able to beat the Busan International Film Festival, but as the chairperson of the organizing committee, I will work hard to support it so it can become the second-leading film festival in the country.]
The 22nd Jecheon International Music & Film Festival will be held for six days starting from September 3.
