Teenagers who roamed around on stolen motorcycles and targeted jewelry stores and unmanned shops have been injured in an accident.
According to police today (the 31st), the Seoul Yeongdeungpo Police Station has urgently arrested a teenager identified as A on charges including theft, and hospitalized another injured teenager, B.
Teenager A and his accomplices are accused of stealing a motorcycle in Manan-gu, Anyang, on the 29th and then moving around unmanned stores in areas such as Anyang, Uiwang, and Suwon starting the next day, smashing kiosks and stealing cash or attempting to do so.
They are also accused of attempting to steal precious metals from a jewelry store in Paldal-gu, Suwon, before fleeing.
Teenager A and his accomplices were caught by the police after getting into a motorcycle accident in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, at 1 AM today while carrying out these criminal acts.
The exact details of the accident have not been disclosed.
A police official stated, "After the accident, we checked the license plate of the motorcycle ridden by the injured teenagers A and others, confirmed they were wanted, arrested one suspect, and transferred the injured suspect to the hospital."
