Elon Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla and the world's richest person, is expected to pour massive funds into the Republican Party ahead of the midterm elections coming up in November.

According to the U.S. political media outlet Axios, Musk is reviving "America PAC," a super PAC (political action committee) he founded himself.

America PAC is the super PAC that gained attention when Musk poured 260 million dollars (approx. 370 billion won) into it to help elect then-presidential candidate Donald Trump during the 2024 presidential election.

At the time, Musk set a record as the individual political donor who provided the largest amount of funding to a single election in U.S. history.

Ahead of this midterm election, Musk is expected to provide at least 100 million dollars (140 billion won) to America PAC.

Citing multiple anonymous sources, The New York Times (NYT) reported that Musk approved spending 100 million to 120 million dollars on America PAC's new field program.

America PAC plans to focus on Senate elections in five states, including Alaska, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, and Ohio, with races in North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas also under consideration.

These regions are considered key battleground states that could shake up the ruling-minority and opposition-majority landscape in these midterms.

America PAC is also reportedly considering supporting House races in California, Wisconsin, and Washington.

America PAC is led by Chris Young, Musk's political adviser, and will play a role in encouraging voter turnout going forward through door-to-door visits to conservative voters, digital advertising, and mailers.

During the 2024 presidential election, America PAC also visited about 10 million households across roughly six battleground states to encourage voter turnout.

James Blair, Senior Advisor to the President for Political Affairs, expressed expectations, saying, "America PAC was a vital partner in our historic GOTV (Get Out The Vote) movement in 2024, and their return in 2026 will be a tremendous boost to Republicans nationwide."

Unlike during the 2024 presidential election and the 2025 Wisconsin Supreme Court election, Musk is not expected to make direct appearances at campaign rallies.

The NYT reported that following the defeat in the Wisconsin election, Musk realized that stepping out to the forefront actually backfires.

At a time when President Trump's approval ratings have declined due to issues such as the war with Iran and economic problems, and with forecasts suggesting the opposition Democratic Party could retake the House of Representatives in the midterms, Musk's support is expected to be a major help to the Republican Party.

The Republican Party has been leading the Democratic Party in terms of securing financial resources.

Currently, Republican super PACs hold about 300 million dollars more than Democratic super PACs, and "MAGA Inc," a super PAC supporting President Trump, holds an additional 400 million dollars.

When America PAC is added to this, the Republican Party will solidify its financial dominance.
