In professional baseball, the third-placed LG Twins, who had been on a downward trend, set a stepping stone for a rebound by claiming a thrilling come-from-behind victory over the Kiwoom Heroes, powered by home runs from Austin Dean and Song Chan-ui.

Tied up and silenced by Kiwoom ace An Woo-jin's fearsome pitching, LG started their chase in the 4th inning when Austin launched his 31st solo home run of the season.

Trailing 3 to 1 in the 6th with runners on first and second with no outs, Song Chan-ui smashed a go-ahead three-run homer over the left-center field wall, sending Jamsil Baseball Stadium into a frenzy.

LG starting pitcher Im Chan-gyu held the opponents to 3 runs over 6 innings, becoming the first on the team to reach 10 wins this season and leading the team to a 5 to 3 victory.

Hanwha secured a dramatic walk-off win against Lotte.

Trailing 2 to 1 in the 9th with the bases loaded and one out, Lee Do-yun appeared to strike out swinging, but a video review overturned the call to a no-swing. Given a second life, he delivered a two-run walk-off single over the right fielder's head, driving home fans wild.
