KOSPI Closes Lower for Third Straight Day, Dropping Over 1% to 5,593

The KOSPI, which plummeted for two consecutive days, fluctuated during trading today (the 30th) and briefly attempted to recover the 6,000 mark during the session, but ultimately closed down by more than 1%.

On this day, the KOSPI finished the session down 69.68 points (1.23%) at 5,593.56.

This translates to a loss of 1,162.19 points (17%) over the span of three days.

The index started the day up 18.53 points (0.33%) at 5,681.77, fluctuating back and forth during the session before turning upward to reach as high as 5,976.82 (5.54%).

However, the index shifted back to a decline later in the day, experiencing erratic trading throughout the session before ultimately closing on a weak note.

The KOSDAQ index finished down 17.90 points (2.70%) at 644.78.

Similarly, it repeatedly rose and fell during the session before ultimately closing lower.
