With one week left until its release, the film 'Odyssey' has surpassed 170,000 in advance ticket sales.

According to the Korean Film Council's ticketing box office aggregation on the 30th, 'Odyssey' recorded a reservation rate of 16.2% and 178,000 advance tickets sold, ranking second behind 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'.

This figure surpasses the 139,000 advance tickets recorded at the same period by 'Oppenheimer', which previously held director Christopher Nolan's all-time highest advance booking record.

Having opened first in North America and many other overseas countries, 'Odyssey' has surpassed $639.6 million (approx. 935.22312 billion won) in global box office revenue, sparking a worldwide box office sensation.

Christopher Nolan is a director who commands deep trust from domestic audiences. As his new work arriving two years after 'Oppenheimer', expectations are also high for its technological achievement as the first feature film shot entirely with IMAX 70mm film cameras. While theaters are currently seeing fierce competition between 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' and 'Hope', a three-way battle is anticipated next week with the addition of 'Odyssey'.

'Odyssey' is set to open in domestic theaters on August 5th.
