Police are investigating after a large quantity of narcotic drugs was found in the ceiling of an apartment unit in Cheongju.

On the 22nd of last month, seven boxes of propofol (35 units) and five boxes of pethidine hydrochloride (125 units) were discovered above the bathroom ceiling structure of an apartment unit in Heungdeok-gu, Cheongju.

It was reported that a worker in charge of interior remodeling found them during demolition work and reported the incident to police.

A police official stated today (the 30th), "We are investigating the head of the household and others regarding their exact length of residency and whether the narcotic drugs were brought in."
