The Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement is drawing attention for delivering heartfelt consolation letters to young job seekers who participated in its interviews.

According to the agency on the 30th, interviews for the "2026 1st Competency-Based Employee Recruitment" were held for three days starting from the 21st at the Jinju Complex Innovation Center in Chungmu-dong, Jinju.

A total of 173 applicants took part in this round of interviews, consisting of 43 experienced professionals and 130 newcomers.

After the interview sessions concluded, the agency handed out interview expense envelopes along with handwritten-style consolation messages to the candidates.

Later, a photo of the letter and a review posted by an applicant who attended the interview went viral on major online job-seeking communities.

The revealed letter contained encouraging phrases recognizing the hard work of job seekers, such as, "We will always cheer on your day-to-day efforts to achieve your dreams."

In response, netizens and interview applicants showed positive reactions to the agency's sincerity, commenting, "Regardless of whether I pass or fail, my nervous heart melted away," and "I was touched by the consideration that respects interviewees regardless of the outcome."

An official from the agency said, "This letter was prepared to express our gratitude for the applicants' efforts," adding, "We hope it served as a small source of strength to the candidates."
