Samsung Electronics has broken its quarterly record for the third consecutive quarter, posting all-time high performance in the second quarter of this year.
Samsung announced in a regulatory filing that its consolidated operating profit for the second quarter reached 89.4924 trillion won, marking an 1,813.8% increase compared to the same period last year.
Revenue came in at 171.4995 trillion won and net income stood at 71.6245 trillion won, both showing significant surges.
In particular, the Device Solutions (DS) division, which handles semiconductors, wrote a new history with a record operating profit of 89.2 trillion won.
On the other hand, the Device eXperience (DX) division, which oversees finished products, recorded an operating loss of 800 billion won due to the impact of rising component costs.
