Cheonggyecheon Splash.

It is news about water play.

These days, when it is so hot, I see many people dipping their feet in Cheonggyecheon to cool off.

A full-scale festival related to this will open starting tomorrow.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will operate a citizen-participatory festival, the Cheonggyecheon Water Splash, from tomorrow through August 9 along a 120-meter section from Cheonggye Falls to Gwangtonggyo Bridge on the Cheonggyecheon stream.

When it was held for the first time last year, it gained a great response, drawing some 52,000 visitors.

Resting chairs and shading shelters will be set up along the waterside promenade.

Water shoes will even be rented out for free.

This means you can enjoy the splash without any separate preparations.

Operating hours will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. starting tomorrow.

It is a bit disappointing that you cannot go after getting off work, but I hope you will visit Cheonggyecheon to enjoy the splash even on the weekend.
