The heads of economic and financial authorities held an emergency market inspection meeting, known as the F4 meeting, and decided to set individual investment limits on single-stock leverage exchange-traded funds (ETFs), which have been amplifying stock market volatility.
They cited an example of limiting the proportion of single-stock leverage investments to a maximum of 20% of an individual's total investment amount in financial products.
To prevent excessive speculation, they also decided to apply an excessive quote surcharge, a measure already utilized in the futures market.
