Actor Hwang Jung-min’s agency has taken a strong stance against recently spread privacy allegations online, claiming they are malicious fabrications by a stalking crime suspect.

Today (the 29th), Hwang’s agency, Sam Company, stated through an official release that "the author of the malicious posts regarding Hwang Jung-min is a stalking crime suspect who has continuously harassed him in the past," adding that they filed a criminal complaint against the individual last year.

The agency explained, "The court has already issued three restraining orders against the suspect, acknowledged the stalking charges, and handed down a summary order of 3 million won in fines."

Furthermore, the agency warned of additional legal actions regarding the distribution of maliciously edited posts and apologized, saying, "We are sorry for causing concern to fans."

Earlier today, posts raising privacy allegations spread across social media and other platforms, featuring text message contents and call recording files that the poster claimed were exchanged with Hwang Jung-min as evidence.

Meanwhile, Hwang is currently meeting audiences through director Na Hong-jin’s movie "HOPE," which was released in mid-July.
