Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants in U.S. professional baseball recorded a hit in his return after a three-game absence, maintaining his .300 batting average.

Starting as the fifth batter and right fielder in a home game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2026 Major League Baseball (MLB) season held at Oracle Park in San Francisco, USA, Lee went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.

His season batting average dipped slightly from .302 to .301 (110 hits in 365 at-bats).

Lee had missed the games on July 27 and July 28 after being hit in the elbow by a pitcher's throw during the game against the Los Angeles Angels on July 26, returning to the lineup after three games.

His batting feel was not quite there.

He struck out consecutively in his first and second at-bats, and grounded out to shortstop in his third at-bat.

His hit came in the bottom of the 9th inning during the final attack while trailing 8-2.

Stepping up as the leadoff hitter against right-handed relief pitcher Abner Uribe, Lee attacked a sinking fastball left hanging over the middle of the plate on a 1-ball count, driving a single to right field between first and second base.

Afterward, the subsequent batters remained silent, and the game ended as it was, with San Francisco losing 8-2.
